Moises will be one of nine speakers invited to take the TEDX stage in Greensboro, NC. Although he is no stranger to telling his story, the TEDX event will be a significant platform for Moises to address the intersection of the social issues that have defined him: LGBTQ equality and immigration reform. The theme of the TEDX conference seems well suited for Moises. He has proven that radical ideas are doable and that there is enormous power in speaking out. Moises’ talk will challenge the sensationalized profile of immigrants by making comparisons between undocumented immigrants and the man of steel. Although he has been speaking to audiences and telling his story for over 5 years, this talk feels particularly timely considering the climate of the presidential campaign, particularly the dehumanizing rhetoric from politicians and the media. The invitation to speak at TEDX Greensboro is a tremendous opportunity. It will enable Moises to reach a large platform and help raise awareness about the human cost of these issues.
