Forbidden at Define American Film Festival!

We are honored that Forbidden was invited to screen at Jose Antonio Vargas’ Define American Film Festival in Charlotte, NC. Founded by Vargas in 2011, Define American is an incredible organization working to shift the narrative surrounding immigrants and identify in a rapidly changing country.  Forbidden will be one of six films shown at the festival. In addition to the screenings, the festival is full of stimulating panels discussions with revolutionaries Dolores Huerta and Melissa Harris-Perry among others. Check out the website to learn more.

We are thrilled that Bishop Tonyia Rawls will be the moderator for the Forbidden panel discussion following the screening. Rawls was just named of the “100 Woke Women” in Essence Magazine.
